Bandhavgarh is one of the five major tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh. As compared to the Kanha tiger reserve, this National park is smaller in size and thus the chances of spotting the tiger are quite high. Tala, Magdhi, and Khitauli are the core zones while Panpatha and Dhamokhar buffer zones. The Tala zone has the ancient remains of the Bandhvgarh fort which has inscription of some of the Vishnu avatars.
This National park is known for its large population of royal Bengal tigers. Charger, B2, Bamera, Bajrang, Mahaman, Bhim, and Chota Bhim are some of the major attraction of Bandhavgarh. These huge tigers have made this jungle extremely popular in the whole world. International travellers throng this tiger reserve throughout the year. Other animals include white tigers, leopards, deers and the recent attraction the wild elephants.
